James Gurney
Chairperson - MS Group
James serves as a non-executive director on the boards of the various MS Group companies. His primary focus is the group’s strategic and entrepreneurial development. James has been instrumental in the establishment of the MS Group and continues to play a leading role in its growth and development. 

Dr John Gurney
Chairperson - Mineral Services
John's specialty is the early stage assessment of diamond potential in exploration samples using geochemical techniques, on which he has published widely. He provides high-level input into the consulting division's technical assignments and plays a key role in the evaluation of diamonds, microdiamonds and the diamond potential of kimberlites.

He is also involved in the development of mineral exploration strategies for clients and has general oversight of the group's field and laboratory exploration methodologies. John is an Emeritus Professor of Geochemistry at the University of Cape Town (UCT). He was also the Head of the Kimberlite Research Group at UCT and for 20 years a top-rated research scientist by the South African National Research Foundation.

Dr Rory Moore 
CEO - MS Group and Mineral Services
Rory has extensive experience in the international diamond exploration industry and, together with John Gurney, served as a primary geological consultant to DiaMet Minerals in the lead-up to the discovery of the Ekati Diamond Mine in Canada in 1991. Rory was subsequently hired by BHP Minerals where he established and managed the highly successful BHP diamond exploration team in Canada. Prior to re-joining Mineral Services in 2003, Rory was the President and CEO of a Canadian public diamond exploration company.

Mary Vilakazi
Chief Financial Officer (MS Africa) - MS Group
Mary is the Chief Financial Officer for the MS Group African businesses. Mary is also the Managing Trustee of Zenzele Development Trust and serves as a director of some of the companies in which the Trust invests. Before joining the MS Group, Mary was a partner/ director with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, in the Financial Services Practice. She specialised in providing assurance services to insurance and investment management companies.Mary serves on the board of Metropolitan Holdings Limited as a non-executive director. She is a member of the Long Term Insurance Advisory Committee to the Minister of Finance and is also the Chairperson of the CCMA audit committee.

Patrick Murrin
Director - MS Group
Patrick is Managing Director of the group's international business entities, including Mineral Services International Limited, the holding company of the Mineral Services group and Natresco International Inc. Patrick lives in Guernsey, Channel Islands and has a long history with the group's international business affairs. He was a founder director of both Natresco International Inc. and Mineral Services International Limited and has played key roles in the development of both businesses. 

Kevin Stocks
Director - MS Group
Kevin has been associated with the companies that now form MS Group for over 10 years.  He formally joined MS Group in 2007 and is currently involved with many of the group entities at a director level.

Maria Domenici
Group Accountant - MS Group
Maria serves as Group Accountant for the Mineral Services companies and as a director of Mineral Services Canada Inc. Responsibilities include management accounting for Mineral Services International, Mineral Services Canada and various group entities. Maria joined Mineral Services in 1995 and has held various accounting positions within the group in South Africa and Europe prior to relocating to Vancouver in 2003.

Greg Hansen
Managing Director - Remote Drilling Services
Greg joined the MS Group in 1998 and has played a number of key management roles. These have included implementing the group's environmental management and safety policies, managing the operations for the group's exploration programmes, managing the Mineral Services Laboratory, Group Managing Director and his current role of Managing Director of Remote Drilling Services (RDS). 

Tom Nowicki
Technical Director  - Mineral Services
Tom has overall responsibility for the technical aspects of MS Group's consulting, laboratory and operations divisions. His role includes general mineral exploration consulting, the evaluation of the diamond potential of kimberlites and exploration samples and geological and resource modelling of kimberlites. Tom has carried out extensive research in kimberlite geology, indicator mineral chemistry and geochemistry and has published several peer-reviewed papers on these topics.

Brett van Coller
Managing Director
Brett manages the MS Group’s exploration business, Remote Exploration Services (RES), and has been integrally involved in the design, management and implementation of client exploration programmes. This includes the development of optimal sampling methodologies and the management of field teams undertaking these programmes. He is also involved in the implementation of orientation geochemical surveys, the integration and interpretation of field exploration data and the development of new field exploration and laboratory procedures. Brett joined Mineral Services in 1985 after completing his degree at the University of Cape Town.

Peter Hollick
Technical Director
As Technical Director of Remote Exploration Services (RES), Peter is responsible for the development, management and technical oversight of both Kimberlite and alluvial/ marine diamond exploration and evaluation projects throughout Africa. Management of the RES geoscientific and operational teams and ensuring the technical excellence of all aspects of RES operations are also areas of Peter’s responsibility. Before joining Mineral Services in 2002, Peter worked for Anglo American as a Mine Geologist, for Benguela Concessions as Chief Geologist and Exploration Manager and for TransHex as Chief Geologist. 

Dale Verran 
Technical Director
Dale is responsible for the management and technical oversight of precious metal, base metal and uranium projects. He is responsible for the implementation of orientation geochemical surveys, the integration and interpretation of field exploration data and the development of new field exploration and laboratory procedures. Dale is also integrally involved with the development of Remote Exploration Services’s new uranium exploration tool, RadonX™. Prior to joining Mineral Services in 1999, he worked for Gold Fields Mining & Development Ltd in South Africa, undertaking gold and base metal exploration. He also previously worked in the investment banking sector in the UK.

Clint Williams
Chairman
Clint developed and manages the MS Group's drilling operation, Remote Drilling Services (RDS), which involves specialised modular equipment designed to take on core drilling programmes in logistically remote areas. A career field geologist, with over 17 years’ field exploration experience, Clint has been integrally involved with all aspects of the group’s advanced field exploration projects and field operations. Before joining Mineral Services in 1996, he worked for Gold Fields in South Africa and Namibia and Benguela Concessions as a Marine Geologist.

Greg joined the MS Group in 1998 and has played a number of key management roles. Clint Williams
Managing Director
Clint is responsible for the management of the engineering arm of the group, MS Engineering, which supports and complements the drilling activities of Remote Drilling Services (RDS), of which he is Chairman. A career field geologist with over 17 years’ field exploration experience, Clint has been integrally involved with all aspects of the MS Group's advanced field exploration projects and field operations. Before joining Mineral Services in 1996, Clint worked for Gold Fields in South Africa and Namibia and Benguela Concessions as a Marine Geologist.

Ed Gordon
Managing Director
Ed completed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering and worked as an industrial process engineer before pursing his aviation interests on a fulltime basis in 1997. He has an Airline Transport Pilot License, has flown more than 6000 hours and has extensive experience as an instructor. Prior to joining MS Aviation, he set up and ran a small charter company in Malawi after which he was employed by the SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service as Chief Flying Instructor. Ed has completed both flying and maintenance courses at the Pilatus factory in Switzerland and has been responsible for ferrying five new aircraft back to South Africa.

Bill Feast
Managing Director, South Africa
Bill joined the MS Group in 1999 as Spatial Dimension’s founding Technical Director.  As Managing Director of Spatial Dimension, he has steered the company through a period of tremendous growth with the global uptake of its FlexiCadastre Mineral Rights Management Solution. A geologist by training, Bill has a strong blend of geological, GIS, Mining Law, IT and management skills that are suited to delivering successful and sustainable projects worldwide.

Mike Baumgartner
Managing Director, Canada
Since joining Mineral Services in 1996, Mike has had extensive experience developing GIS and database solutions for minerals exploration applications and the integration and evaluation of exploration data within the GIS environment. His consulting roles include the evaluation of the diamond potential of kimberlites and exploration samples, particularly with respect to their geochemistry, microdiamonds and petrography. 

Toby Mills
Director
Toby has over a decade of experience in implementing technical solutions in the earth science sector. A geologist by training, Toby soon realised that his greatest skill was in combining his geological background with his programming expertise. This strong combination allowed him to develop appropriate, relevant and sustainable software solutions for a diverse client base within the mining sector. His geological background and experience in implementing solutions in a number of different environments provides Toby with a unique technical realism ensuring that his solutions are always simple, stable and client-focused.

Dr. Hâkan Tarras-Wahlberg
Managing Director
Hâkan joined Swedish Geological in 1997 and has been responsible for the business since 2001. He has extensive international experience of leading mining sector development projects and projects related to environmental, social and socio-economic issues in the natural resource sectors. Prior to joining Swedish Geological, Hâkan conducted research that combined environmental geochemistry with policy development. He has also worked for the Swedish environmental protection agency and in diamond exploration.

Dr. Karl Westerlund
Technical Director
Karl has had extensive experience leading and participating in international projects related to mineral sector development since joining Swedish Geological in 2004. His consulting roles have been wide-ranging; they have included institutional development, policy and legal framework studies, management and control of mining operations, environmental monitoring and laboratory development. Prior to joining Swedish Geological, Karl conducted research on the origin of kimberlites and diamonds.

Karu Pillay
Managing Director

Karu is the MD of Blackwagon Transport, a transfer and chauffeur drive company based in Cape Town.  Karu previously worked as a biokineticist at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa, working with elite athletes and other individuals.
